The 50th Registered Student Organization Recognition Celebration

was held at Lansing Community College West Campus, on March 31, 2017. LCC AMA took recognition as one of the RSO clubs on campus, celebrating with all the incredible clubs we took part with. A thank you to everyone who participated, and made this great event happen.

The 39th Annual International Collegiate American Marketing Association Conference

was held at the Sheraton Hotel, in New Orleans March 15 – 20, 2017. LCC AMA took a power stance in this year’s conference. The 2016 chapter was awarded the ‘Top Five Small Chapters of the Year’ title at the awards Banquet, during the Conference. The week was filled with professional development experience, such as credited key note speakers, chapter exhibits, and case competitions. The LCC Chapter sent eight members this year.

New Orleans 2014

The 36th Annual International Collegiate American Marketing Association Conference took place  April 10-12, 2014 at the Sheridan Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana. The LCC Chapter came out swinging  and placed 25th out of 351 chapters with recognition of the the chapters outstanding internal and external communication, chapter plan development, and fundraising. The chapter also placed 3rd in the national SABRE (Strategic Allocation of Business Resources) competition.

The 35th Annual International Collegiate American Marketing Association Conference  
was held in New Orleans, LA on March 20th through the 25th, 2013. The Conference was the culmination of a spectacular year of hard work and dedication which lead to a Bronze or 4th place finish out of 330 schools. The LCC AMA also had a strong showing in the Saber competition finishing 4th out of 30 schools which LCC was the only Community College competing. The International Conference had various activities and events throughout the week for students to get involved in. Events like the Parade of Chapters, booth exhibits, individual competitions, and socials to add interaction between the different chapters. The International Conference had several speakers ranging in topics from Sports Marketing to Innovation Strategies, all areas of professional insight to enhance the skill sets of the young professionals in attendance. LCC AMA sent 12 people to the conference this year, which is the largest group to date the group has taken. The student volunteers remarked that this was one the greatest trips they have ever been on.

LCC-AMA ranks third among 142 universities

LCC may be the only community college active in the American Marketing Association, but that didn’t stop them from ranking third in the nation at the 34th International AMA Collegiate Conference.
